As the Leever Cancer Center continues safety protocols that prohibit in-person support group meetings, we wanted to share information put forth by Look Good Feel Better regarding live online workshops.
Look Good Feel Better Live! virtual workshops provide valuable information to women who may have difficulty getting to a group workshop, don't have one close by, or prefer to have more scheduling flexibility. Through interactive video technology, a licensed beauty professional guides a small group of participants in the application of skin care and makeup or the use of wigs and head coverings to help manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. Participants will need a computer or tablet with a camera or webcam, internet connection, and audio connection via computer speaker/mic or speakerphone.
In this exciting new format, participants receive live instruction, tips, and tricks for dealing with appearance concerns during a one-hour, online workshop from the comfort and privacy of their home, office, or other self-selected setting. Participants will use their own supply of skin care and makeup items or wigs and head coverings to learn the techniques demonstrated during the workshop.
You can sign up to participate in both types of virtual workshops! After you register, you will receive a confirmation email containing detailed instructions for accessing the online workshop and listing the materials recommended to fully participate.
